The third day of the Junior European Championship will bring another six games.
The match between France and Lithuania will start the whole programme on Monday. France defeated Britain and lost to the Netherlands, Lithuania lost to the Netherlands and despite the defeat showed a brave fight in their match against Spain. In the Euro 2021 France won the group 19-9.
In Ostrava, Germany will face Belgium in the morning match. Germany had to play two games in one day on Sunday and were successful in both. Belgium, who advanced to the championship from the qualification, lost to the Czechia and Israel.
Israel also had to manage a portion of two games in one day, of which they eventually got one win against Belgium. It now faces Italy, which has the same W-L record of 1-1. After a clear win against Ireland, it lost to the Czechia. In 2021, Italy was more successful in the group 10-2.
The Netherlands enter the match against Austria with two wins, having handled both France and Lithuania. Austria then fought a tough but losing battle with Great Britain and lost to Spain.
Tonight's game in Ostrava will again be reserved for the Czech national team. They will now face Ireland, who lost to Italy and fought valiantly against Germany. The Czechs are one of four teams with two wins. After the win over Belgium, they also beat Italy.
Spain will try their hand at a game under the lights against Great Britain at Hluboká. The team that advanced from qualification celebrated a win over Austria on the second day of the tournament. Spain has two wins but certainly can't be satisfied with their performance against Lithuania.
